Description

This rack is for bikes that are already equipped with factory or Cycle-istiC backrests. Please see part number CC-P-HDR-1+B-DS if your bike does not have the backrest.

Factory racks are generally rated between 6 and 10 pounds (2.72 and 4.5 kg). This rack can handle 30 pounds (13.6 kg) with ease.
Most racks, OEM or aftermarket, are constructed of thin wall tubing. Not this one. The center portion of this rack is machined from solid 1/2" plate 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum. The side plates, with built-in receptacles for bungees, are machined from 1/4" plate of the same material.
